A striking vintage signed Sphinx horse head brooch dating to the 1960s/70s, featuring a bold and sculptural equestrian design. The brooch is finished in glossy black enamel, contrasted with clear rhinestones set into the bridle and trim. The reverse is stamped SPHINX, confirming manufacture by the well-regarded British costume jewellery company. Fitted with a rollover safety clasp.

Some rhinestones are missing (notably along the lower edge and one to the harness), and there is light wear to the enamel and gold-tone finish in places. Priced accordingly.

My love affair with the 1950s and 1960s began back in my teenage years. While others were chasing trends, I was diving headfirst into the music, the style, and the lifestyle of those eras. Fast-forward a few decades, and nothing’s changed—I’m still a self-confessed vintage addict (and happily so!).

In 2015, I opened my Etsy shop to share my passion with others. Ten years, countless treasures, and thousands of happy customers later, I’ve decided it’s time to branch out and take the next step—building my own little corner of the internet dedicated to all things mid-century and retro.
