A vintage 1950s/60s Japanese ceramic novelty decanter modelled as a donkey (or small horse) pulling a rustic cart carrying a large wooden-effect barrel. Finished in rich brown tones with hand-painted gilt highlights, this kitsch piece captures the character of mid-century Japanese export ceramics. The barrel forms the liquor reservoir and retains its original red-topped stopper.
