Large 1960s Sphinx gold-tone & multicoloured rhinestone Maltese Cross brooch

A beautiful vintage brooch by Sphinx, stamped “9229” to the reverse, indicating the original design reference number. This bold mid-century piece features a dramatic Maltese cross-style design set with multi-coloured faceted rhinestones in rich amber, green, red, and topaz tones. A large central stone anchors the design, with navette and round-cut crystals radiating outward. The reverse shows a textured gold-tone backing with open-backed settings and a secure roll-over clasp.
