Vintage (1950s/60s) original watercolour painting depicting a countryside cottage beside a tranquil pond, framed by trees and spring foliage. Painted in soft washes of blue, green and warm earthy tones, the artwork captures the quiet beauty of a rural landscape with loose, expressive brushwork. Presented behind a grey mount in a slim gilt-effect frame, this original painting has a classic mid-century aesthetic that complements both traditional and contemporary interiors.

Sold as seen – please also see photos for detailed visual description. The reverse retains its original backing board and hanging wire, but would benefit from some new backing tape, and the frame shows light age-related wear, including a small knock to one corner.

About Me

My love affair with the 1950s and 1960s began back in my teenage years. While others were chasing trends, I was diving headfirst into the music, the style, and the lifestyle of those eras. Fast-forward a few decades, and nothing’s changed—I’m still a self-confessed vintage addict (and happily so!).

In 2015, I opened my Etsy shop to share my passion with others. Ten years, countless treasures, and thousands of happy customers later, I’ve decided it’s time to branch out and take the next step—building my own little corner of the internet dedicated to all things mid-century and retro.

Whether you’re a fellow collector, a nostalgic soul, or just someone who loves a one-of-a-kind find, I’d love for you to take a look around.
