Mid-century German studio pottery leaf-shaped crosshatch pattern ceramic bowl

Mid-century German studio pottery leaf-shaped bowl featuring a rich dark brown glaze with an abstract hand-painted crosshatch pattern in olive green, mustard yellow and white. The  asymmetrical organic form and bold decoration are characteristic of West German ceramic design from the 1950s and 1960s. A decorative piece that works equally well as a fruit bowl, trinket dish, catchall or displayed as part of a mid-century pottery collection.
