Mid-century 7-piece aqua/peacock blue glass water jug set

A mid-century blown glass water or lemonade set, dating from circa. 1960s/70s, comprising a tall peacock-blue glass jug with clear applied handle and six matching tumblers. The set has elegant simple lines and a rich translucent blue colour typical of continental imported glassware of the period. The jug has a gently flared rim with shaped pouring spout and retains its original "Foreign" import label, while the matching glasses have a distinctive weighted base design. Ideal for serving water, cocktails, punches or summer drinks making a wonderful addition to a mid-century modern, retro or vintage-inspired home.
