Handmade mid-century Marian Mahler David Whitehead atomic cushion with red & white ric-rac, 16" x 16"

Handmade (by me) mid-century statement cushion (including pad) using Marian Mahler’s iconic atomic textile design for David Whitehead. The front combines the colourful geometric fabric with a contrasting plain black panel, creating a striking asymmetric design. Finished with two rows of red and white ric-rac trim running across the front for an extra playful 1950s touch. The Marian Mahler print features its distinctive mix of diamonds, triangles and abstract atomic forms in red, yellow, lime, lilac, black and white against a pale blue ground. Finished with a plain black reverse. A fabulous one-off decorative cushion for mid-century modern, atomic, 1950s, retro and eclectic interiors, particularly appealing to enthusiasts of post-war British textile design.
