Vintage Egyptian porcelain decorative plate by renowned Egyptian sculptor and designer Fathi Mahmoud. The detailed design depicts an royal scene believed to represent Tutankhamun and Ankhesenamun, surrounded by colourful hieroglyphic symbols and imagery including the jackal-headed Anubis and a winged falcon. Finished with a deep green decorative border and fine gilt detailing, the plate is marked on the back with the Fathi Mahmoud FM backstamp and “Pâte et émail Limoges – fondé en 1942 – Made in Egypt”. A decorative and collectable piece, ideal for lovers of Egyptian art, vintage ceramics and statement wall displays.
