c.1900s Oxford Miniature Book of Common Prayer with brass protective edging

Antique miniature Book of Common Prayer printed at the Oxford University Press and published in London by Henry Frowde. The prayer book has its original printed card covers, fitted with a decorative brass (or gilt brass) protective frame featuring engraved floral decoration and a working side clasp. The spine is finished with a printed black design and gilt lettering reading 'Common Prayer' with decorative cross motifs. A surviving Edwardian devotional piece and an attractive addition to collections of miniature books, ecclesiastical antiques and religious ephemera.

Sold as seen – please also see photos for detailed visual description. Good antique condition for its age, with surface wear and tarnishing to the brass frame. The card covers show age-related wear and the binding is weak with separation at the front hinge.
