Vintage 1985 Soviet Russian wooden folk art toy featuring five brightly painted children nestled inside a hand-carved wooden basket with carry handle. Complete with its original Soviet factory label to the base, this colourful wooden toy dates to 1985 and was produced in Moscow. The simple hand-painted faces, natural wood finish and carved basket give the piece a wonderfully authentic folk-art character, making it ideal for collectors of Russian folk art, Soviet memorabilia, wooden toys or nursery décor.

About Me

My love affair with the 1950s and 1960s began back in my teenage years. While others were chasing trends, I was diving headfirst into the music, the style, and the lifestyle of those eras. Fast-forward a few decades, and nothing’s changed—I’m still a self-confessed vintage addict (and happily so!).

In 2015, I opened my Etsy shop to share my passion with others. Ten years, countless treasures, and thousands of happy customers later, I’ve decided it’s time to branch out and take the next step—building my own little corner of the internet dedicated to all things mid-century and retro.

Whether you’re a fellow collector, a nostalgic soul, or just someone who loves a one-of-a-kind find, I’d love for you to take a look around.
