Vintage 1980s cotton fabric featuring a colourful small-scale geometric check design in yellow, pale green, orange and red on a white ground. The design is formed from irregular, hand-drawn-style squares and rectangular blocks arranged in repeating rows, giving it a cheerful retro look. Likely from a children's fabric range, with the same check design appearing alongside a period animal-print cotton featuring cats, dogs, chicks, snails and other motifs. A generous piece of lightweight cotton, ideal for dressmaking, children's clothing, cushions, patchwork, accessories and other sewing or craft projects.
