1950s 'Mexicana' scenic Mexican print fabric, 48" x 32"

Fabulous vintage 1950s furnishing fabric in the ‘Mexicana’ pattern, with the original printed selvedge reading Pattern Mexicana Guaranteed to be Vat Prints Pre-shrunk. The detailed scenic design depicts Mexican village and market life, with figures in traditional dress, market stalls, pottery, whitewashed buildings, tiled roofs and palm trees. Largely printed in black and charcoal on an off-white ground, with soft turquoise, pink and olive green accents. It would look fantastic framed as a piece of vintage textile art, as well as being suitable for cushions, lampshades or other carefully considered interiors projects.
