1930s/40s acrylic Dachshund dog in faux bamboo frame brooch

Vintage 1930s/40s acrylic novelty brooch featuring a brown dachshund set within a rectangular faux bamboo-effect frame. The stylised dog has red painted ears, collar, nose and tail detail, with a black bead-like eye. Finished with a long pin and simple C-clasp fitting to the reverse. A wonderfully quirky piece of early novelty costume jewellery and an unusual vintage dog brooch.
